Altevette Project Winter Term 2019 News
DonateNational Exams have begun
It seems hardly any time at all since our girls were sitting their end of term exams in Mustang. Now in winter school it’s test time again. Oral exams began last weekend and Nepalese national exams have begun for everyone this week. Luckily the daytime weather is crisp and sunny in Pokhara so there’s plenty of opportunity for last minute studying in the sun.
Let’s get Scientific….
As many of you know, the school has grown in leaps and bounds since opening in 2012. We could hardly have imagined such growth.
The older girls have now reached a time where it is important to improve resources for learning maths and to create opportunities to study science.
We need to raise some money to provide resources for this and have started a new fundraiser here:

A small amount can go a long way…
A donation of £5 (not much more than a cup of coffee for most of us) will provide a basic maths set including protractor, compass etc for one of our girls, £10 can buy a some basic pieces of laboratory glassware and larger items such as good quality microscopes can be found for £150.
We’ll be going to the school in January and hope to buy some materials locally so PLEASE HELP us if you can by making a donation here:
Here’s a link to our fundraiser. Donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. We are 100% efficient and don’t take expenses from donated monies so you can be assured your donations will support this project.

Or, as always, donate via our website here
Heartfelt thanks for all your support, which is always greatly appreciated.
Seasonal ways to help…
We have been very generously supported by 2 organisations, RSA and Temple Hill who have donated the costs of printing 2020 calendars and Christmas cards featuring photos of our girls and scenes of Upper Mustang. These kind donations mean that 100% of the purchase price will be usable for our fundraiser.
We are truly grateful for their generosity.
